sculptural oval bowl – I 004

This large bowl was thrown on the wheel in fine porcelain, then made oval, to suggest movement, then freely brushed layers of glaze on the celadon glaze base before firing in a long high temperature firing. The brushed decoration  and the softly incised lines, suggest depth and movement in the surface.
