I 089 – vessel, folded

This vessel was thrown on the wheel in fine porcelain and then partially folded.  Fish images were drawn, incised and glaze painted.  The vessel has a celadon base glaze and extra brushed glazes, intended to interact in the long, high temperature firing so as to suggest a sense of movement and depth in the surface.
